On The Horizon

Growing and learning are parts of the process.
Pain too.

Gladly, all of this happened a long time ago; I once wrote about it with different words... and will write about it again.
And again.

"I can't keep my eyes opened.
Well, I can... but can't stop dreaming.
No more...
No more...

I don't feel a heart is broken.
Well, I do... and wished I was forgetting.
It shows...
I know...

On the horizon,
A future laid for us to plan...
That shall not be,
For you and me,
No more.

I can't see what happened.
Well, I can... but denial is setting in.
Once more...
Once more...

I won't reveal who's to blame.
Yet it shows... one of us is still falling.
Alone...
Alone...

On the horizon,
A rupture leads to uncertainty...
Now, one is free,
Both won't be,
No more.

The remains of what once was,
Remain memories of two.
Faint memories.

On the horizon,
The lesser man I now am.

Round trip (pt.2)

Less poetic than the first part, maybe it was strongly felt.

On moments like these, words mean more to those who felt something like this, once in their lifetime.

"I feel I'm in a spiral,
Never in the same place,
Yet always spinning, with an end in sight.

This moment seems eternal,
You are away, without a trace.
A season of change, one I can't fight.

I can't feel you here...
I can't see you near...
I feel like on a round trip to nowhere!

This moment seems pivotal,
You are who I want to face,
Yet you're absent, still I don't know why.

I feel like on a round trip to nowhere!
"
