Island of Me

Is there the need of an explosion and/or a crater for a projectile to be noticed?
No.

Daniel Barringer meteor craterBut as big as it may be, it may conceal the true reason for its existence.

Meteors and other projectiles have been falling on Earth for millions of years; some theories have been presented in which that these impacts are taken as event with relevant impact (either positive or negative) on life on our planet.

Yet, today most craters mean destruction.
Most are responsibility of Mankind.

"I cannot hear you,
You're not even close.

What is distance?
How far is a kilometer or light-year?...
Further and further gone in one's path...
(And) if no superlative exist...
...what's the worth in the outreach?

What is a number?
How big are "01", "41" or "73"?...
A different meaning each...
Knowledge that some won't reach...
...and less alone others will teach.

What are feelings?
How intense can they be?...
When denied, some endure, persist...
No different from a promise breach...
...or perjury in one's speech.

I cannot hear you,
You're not close to my needs,
This will remain an Island of Me.
"
