Madrid - New York

After arriving to Barajas Airport (at around 2am), we had to wait a few hours for our plane across the ocean... and so we did, with the help of a couple of benches.

The flight was ok... some turbulence and a reduced tv programme. I watched "Yours, Mine & Ours", one of those nice romantic comedies girls love to watch on sundays. And I also (re)watched "Memoires of a Geisha", a really good film, as far as I'm concerned.

Arrived in JFK International Airport, we took the "NJ Transit" train and were stopped one stop later due to a bush fire that got to close to the railway track. We swithed trains to another line (the "Path") and carried on.

Some 45 minutes later, we were there... I mean, here !!!

Lisbon - Madrid

A strange old feeling as we board PGA's flight to Madrid. We know the airport. we know the plane, but since February 2005 this will be our first trip. For me, it's a new beginning.

taking off...

The capital of Spain, Madrid, is alive after 9pm... people have dinner late at night and go out to dance, have a drink, talk, flirt, everything. You will probably find people talking outside with a 2 litre bottle of Coca-Cola and another of vodka or rhum. It's the budget solution for their friday night.

We had dinner after 11pm in a nice place close to the Gran Via. Before & after, we were outside checking the area. It seems nice, despite some dark alleys and works in progress at the "Porta Del Sol" (the door for the sun).

After that, back to the airport.

Almost ready...

Since last summer, this is the first time I'm going to take some time off and go on holidays... I'm almost ready.

We're leaving tomorrow... a night at Madrid and five days at New York... but don't worry... reports & pictures will be available.

Here to stay

"This time, taking it away
I've got a problem, with me getting in the way,
Not by design
So I take my face and bash it into a mirror.
I won't have to see the pain (bleed... bleed...)
This state is elevating, as the hurt turns into hating.
Anticipating, all the fucked up feelings again.

The hurt inside is fading
This shit's gone way too far.
All this time I've been waiting
No I can not grieve anymore.
For what's inside awaking.
I'm not, I'm not a whore
You've taken everything and oh I can not give anymore.

My mind is done with this
Okay, I've got a question.
'Can I throw it all away?'
Take back what's mine
So I take my time, guiding the blade down the line
Each cut closer to the vein (bleed... bleed...)

This state is elevating, as the hurt turns into hating.
Anticipating, all the fucked up feelings again.

The hurt inside is fading
This shit's gone way too far.
All this time I've been waiting
No I can not grieve anymore.
For what's inside awaking.
I'm not, I’m not a whore
You've taken everything and oh I can not give anymore.

I'm here to stay
Bring it down... bring it down...
Bring it down... bring it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it down...
Gunna break it !...

Give anymore...
Give anymore...
Give anymore...
Give anymore !...

Inside man

An inside man is a resource.
And it's also a film I watched yesterday night.

Through the eyes of Spike Lee (director) and Russell Gewirtz (author), the perfect robbery is staged. Clive Owen, Carlos Andrés Gómez, Kim Director, James Ransone on one side, Denzel Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Willem Dafoe, Peter Gerety, Victor Colicchio on the other, Jodie Foster, Peter Kybart and Christopher Plummer somewhere in between, Peter Frechette, Gerry Vichi, Waris Ahluwalia, Rafael Osorio, Rodney 'Bear' Jackson, Daryl Mitchell, Ashlie Atkinson, David Brown, Robert C. Kirk, Frank Stellato, Ken Leung, Marcia Jean Kurtz, Ed Onipede Blunt, Amir Ali Said (the kid playing a PSP), Lemon Andersen, Samantha Ivers (the woman with the noticeable... errr...), Jason Manuel and more as pawns of this plot.

Not real, but a great plot.
A must see.

Oh, by the way... 32 years ago in the real world, a revolution occured here and a dictatorship era ended. Democracy is here to stay.

The city is empty

There's not a soul outside.
The city is empty. I wish I was walking downtown... wandering in my hometown... watching those little things I alone can decode... especially in Spring time.

The city is empty.
I'm not outside.

Blood rush

"A blood rush
Senses alerted... in need (to be fed).
This is not sex
The brain is at full speed
Uttering phrases
Recalling phases
Trying to see
What cannot be

A call for touch
Awareness of a chill in the spine
This is not sex
Nor a bittersweet taste of wine (red, red).
Glueing pictures
Living adventures
Trying to free
Who cannot be

This ain't much
An extreme pleasure, absurd
This is not sex
Only an ejaculation of words (best unsaid).
Dying young
And unsung
Wanting to be
One who does not see
"
