Absent

What? Who? When?
I mean, how?

Absent from here, someone's starting a journey. Not crossing our path, the wanderer's footsteps remain close, yet untrackable. In our thoughts, we ponder on what course of action we should take. A sports referee would say "the best call is no call".

So far, so have we.

Here lies an issue we still haven't classified as a problem, although it clearly is. There can be a time when absence is required, when silence is the most soothing sound for our ears.

I, for one, don't think this is the case.

"...I remain close and I long left,
I know I chose certain death.
While I look back, there's nothing I can see
While you seem to hide, I somewhat feel free

I chose to wander and followed a path
It led nowhere and I understood fast
While I look forward to become someone I cannot be
While you say goodbye, I hoped it was not for me...
"

Incidently, this means something.
Yet to happen.
