My Girl's Part

For a friend in need.
These words don't necessarily reflect or describe his/her situation, as I know little about it.

But when a friend's wound is hurting, I'm also hurting and that was all it took for me to start writing this afternoon.

"Don't play, stop time.
Don't enter my world right now.
Don't tell me when or how.
(The) end of the line,
I can see it,
My own depart,
I'm looking for a fresh start.

I won't say I'm out of line
Don't even know what this was about.
Don't try to teach me how,
(From) a stich in time,
I can rebuild,
Pursue and outsmart,
She, who broke my world apart.

Lately...
There's no focus, ideas simply blur
Maybe maybe maybe...
I want things how they once were

But as in all things, in time
The essence is what will standout.
From you, and right now
Don't stay here,
Not even near,
This young boy has an old man's heart,
So, don't play my girl's part
"
