Our (Misplaced) Father

In a store display, there's an often misplaced band in every shelf. For a long time, Extreme was that band; band based in boston... (un)fortunately, they released More Than Words as their first single (on their second album)... for this, they were labelled as a mellow hard rock band, shelved in the "hard rock ballads" section.

The association of (portuguese guitarist) Nuno Bettencourt and (american vocalist) Gary Cherone produced quite a few gems throughout the band career together, but there will be few who can name a better conceived album than "III Sides To Every Story", their third album.

It's brilliant, from top to bottom.
Here goes an example. Almost randomly picked...

"Oh Daddy please,
take me with you
where you going
Oh Daddy please,
come find the time,
come watch us growing
Oh Daddy please,
don't leave there's so
much that we want to
know before you go

I'm in need of someone
to tie my shoe,
or take hold of my hand
when I become afraid
And whose footsteps
will I follow into,
Daddy please,
don't run away

Our Father, far father
Well, let me tell you about
Our Father, far father away...

Oh Daddy please,
I pray every night
the doors will open
Oh Daddy please,
this house is just
a broken home,
left all alone
"
