Uninteresting as we are

Have you realised how uninteresting we all are ?... Being ignorant regarding certain issues makes us uncomfortable. We avoid subjects that make us uncomfortable, increasing the possibility of becoming more ignorant and, subsequently, more uninteresting.

"There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person."

          - Gilbert K. Chesterton (1874-1936)

Or, if one disagree or think otherwise, one can always put himself/herself in the comfortable seat and list other views...

"Without tenderness, a man is uninteresting."

          - Marlene Dietrich (1901-1992)

I, personally, would say: "May we all live in interesting times !", whatever this means for each of us. You can quote me on this... as I'm quoting someone who does not exist. Not much of a disclosure here.

Interesting Times? I would say that all times are interesting, but that off course depends on the person and not on the time! Why should middle age be less interesting than the 21st century? Why should the 80's be more interesting than the 90's? I believe that it depends on the person you ask.. each one as different interests in different times... but that does not make people less interesting... even a boring person can be interesting depending on who is interacting with her... Now, that's interesting!

When I meant interesting, I was looking to be part of the driving force... not only part of the environment.

"No fate but what we make..."

Each of us, we have to make our own life interesting. Only then, when a considerable part of all humans being around us abide by this, can/will our times be, indeed, interesting.

Not a wish, then.
More like a statement, I'd say.
